HERJC, Church of the Harvest, and student leaders from Elmont High School are collaborating on this Martin Luther King Day of Service. The program will begin with words of welcome and messages of volunteerism from the clergy present (Rabbi Schlesinger and Pastor Thompson). We will have guided questions at tables to facilitate inter racial dialogue while we eat lunch. Everyone will move into the larger room to rotate through 10-12 community service projects (clothes sorting, food sorting, food packing, cards for soldiers, toiletry packing, women's supplies packing, making sandwiches, snack bag packing, book donation packing, and a couple more stations).
