Rachel Ain

Rabbi

Rachel Ain is the rabbi of Sutton Place Synagogue in Manhattan, where she has served since 2012. Before joining SPS, Rabbi Ain was the senior director for National Young Leadership at the Jewish Federations of North America, where she worked closely with lay leaders and professionals to engage the next generation of leaders for the Jewish community. Prior to that, she was a rabbi in Syracuse, New York. 

Rabbi Ain’s previous experience includes serving as a commissioned lieutenant for the U.S. Navy Chaplains Corps and participating in a fellowship at CLAL, called Rabbis Without Borders, where she trained to bring the wisdom of Jewish tradition into the larger public sphere.

Jackie Goldschneider is a writer, activist, speaker, and longtime cast member of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Before joining the show, Jackie was an attorney and freelance journalist. Rachel joined the Hillels of Westchester team as executive director in 2014. Prior to her time in the Hillel movement, Rachel served as the director of a Reform synagogue in New Jersey, a youth group advisor, and a teacher.  

She began her social work career in 2003 as a direct-practice social worker in mental health and substance abuse. On her journey from clinical social work to Hillel professional, she served as an assistant child advocate with the State of New Jersey for nearly a decade, where she focused on antibullying efforts, childhood lead poisoning, legislative oversight, and individual advocacy.
