Join us for the Suffolk Signature Event. As UJA continues to respond to the ongoing needs in Israel in the aftermath of October 7 and to rising antisemitism here in New York, we know coming together has never been more important. 

The suggested minimum donation is $500 or more to UJA’s 2025 Annual Campaign. 

The Signature Event is our only Suffolk fundraising event. We will be featuring a Roll of Honor that pays tribute to our honorees.

The deadline for the Roll of Honor is Friday, November 1, 2024. Your participation in the Roll of Honor is completely voluntary, although we hope you will agree to have your name listed.

Rachel Feinstein is a nationally touring comedian and actress. Beth and Alex Finger

Beth and Alex started dating during their freshman year at Union College and have been together since. They both grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Nesconset when Alex got his first job out of residency. He has been working with the same medical practice, Advanced Orthopedics (now part of NYU), since 2002. Beth and Alex both attended yeshiva/day school growing up, while living in secular homes, giving them a strong Jewish foundation. They knew that they wanted to have a Jewish life for themselves and their children.

Emily and Alan Gordon

Emily’s father was born in Warsaw right at the end of the Holocaust; he, his parents, and his brother were the only survivors in Emily’s family.  Well before the Shoah, and right before WWI, Alan’s grandparents, as children, emigrated from Poland/Russia to the Unites States.  Their families were escaping the rising antisemitism in Europe and looking for a better life in the United States. Although originally settling in Brooklyn, they were among the first Jewish families to move to Huntington.

Alan’s family never moved far from Huntington, and he graduated from Walt Whitman High School.  Emily’s parents settled in Oceanside, where she graduated...

Renni and Craig Schioppo

Renni and Craig met when they both began their careers as CPAs at the same firm and married in 1997. Craig continued on to law school and began to practice corporate law, and Renni worked part time while raising their first daughter Jordyn.They moved to Melville in 2002, and Craig made his next career move in 2003 to Marsh & McLennan as a consultant, eventually building his team and becoming the transactional risk global leader.
 
After their move to Melville, they joined Temple Beth Torah. Their second daughter, Madison, was born in 2004, followed by their son, Dylan, in 2007. At the same time, Renni joined a new accounting firm, Gettry Marcus, CPA, P.C., from which she retired...

Randi and Alan Schuller

Randi’s family had been members of South Huntington (now Melville) Jewish Center since 1967, when they moved to Melville. Her father was on the building committee and was a member of the synagogue until his passing five years ago. Randi was a bat mitzvah at South Huntington Jewish Center and Randi and Alan were married there. Alan hails from Williamsville, New York, a suburb of Buffalo. His family helped found a reform congregation to create meaningful services for their members.  They wrote their own service, and celebrated Rosh Hashanah with a two-day retreat at the Chautauqua Institute.
