Join UJA Young Leaders, in collaboration with Paramount+ and MTV Documentary Films, for a private screening of The Children of October 7, produced by global influencer Montana Tucker.
 
The powerful new documentary, released as Jews around the world mark Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, spotlights the lasting impact of October 7 on children and teens whose lives were forever changed by the Hamas massacre. A talkback after the film will feature remarks from members of the production team.

You’ll witness the extraordinary resilience of these courageous children, teens, and young adults as they navigate unimaginable loss and trauma. Their testimonies reveal universal truths about strength, hope, and the unbreakable human spirit. You’ll also discover UJA’s work supporting hostage families and helping Israelis heal from trauma.

Asaf Becker

Asaf Becker was named Best Documentary Director in 2021 by the Israeli Academy of Film and Television for his film Sound of Metal. The film also was awarded an Oscar for Best Sound.

Since October 7, he has focused on war-related filmmaking, producing a series of short-form documentaries chronicling the experiences of children in southern Israel and creating memorial tributes for victims of the Hamas attacks. He was a member of the production team on Screams Before Silence, led by Sheryl Sandberg, documenting the sexual violence committed by Hamas, which was released in April 2024.

Eytan Schwartz

Eytan Schwartz was born and raised in New York City and moved to Israel with his family as a child. His life mission is telling Israel’s story abroad.

Eytan has spent most of his career at Tel Aviv's City Hall. running all international and diplomatic aspects of the municipality, including international economic development, tourism, marketing, and media.
