Almost three years ago to the day, Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker and three others were taken hostage by a gunman at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas.

Now, join UJA for a critical conversation between Rabbi Cytron-Walker and Mitch Silber of UJA’s Community Security Initiative (CSI). Rabbi Cytron-Walker will discuss how his training helped him protect himself and his congregants during the standoff.  We'll also learn how CSI has helped bolster the security of our local Jewish institutions in the face of unrelenting antisemitism.

You’ll also discover UJA’s latest work fighting the tide of antisemitism on numerous fronts.

This event is intended for those who give $1,000 or above to UJA’s 2025 Annual Campaign.
