Join us for a powerful morning with author Jeff Ingber as he delves into his book Daria’s Secrets. He will be in conversation with Dara Rubinstein, a board member of the Sid Jacobson JCC, for an insightful discussion you won't want to miss.

Set against the backdrop of the Holocaust, this coming-of-age story follows a young girl as she uncovers long-buried family secrets, navigates questions of identity, and discovers strength through vulnerability and healing.

We’ll also hear about UJA’s Witness Project, as well as UJA’s vital work supporting Holocaust survivors by addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.

Brunch will be served. Dietary laws observed.

Jeff Ingber

Author

Jeff Ingber is the author of books, short stories, and screenplays, for which he has won numerous awards. His first screenplay was the basis for the 2019 film Crypto, starring Kurt Russell. One of his novels, Shattered Lives, was made into a documentary film by MacTavish Productions. His short stories have been published in various journals and magazines.

Jeff is the son of Hungarian survivors of the Holocaust. His second book, Béla’s Letters, is a novel of historical fiction based on his father’s life. His latest book, Daria’s Secrets, is a fictional novel about a survivor of the Lodz ghetto and Auschwitz living on Long Island who, still suffering...
