Our Beyond the Book series featuring Israeli authors continues this spring, when we’ll discuss Alexandrian Summer, by Yitzhak Gormezano Goren.
The story of two Jewish families during their last days in Alexandria, Egypt, before fleeing to Israel in 1951, Alexandrian Summer will take us back to another time as we explore the themes of love, identity, and cultural complexity.
You’ll also hear more about UJA’s ongoing work meeting the needs on the ground in Israel and combating the global surge of antisemitism.
We ask that you please purchase and read the book in advance.
This event welcomes donors who give a gift of $1,000 or more to UJA’s 2025 Annual Campaign.
