Our Beyond the Book series with Ellen Witchell continues this spring with our discussion of Künstlers in Paradise by Cathleen Schine.

Told from the perspectives of Mamie and her grandson Julian who get shut in together during the Covid-19 lockdown, Künstlers in Paradise is a saga about family dynamics, immigration, the early days of Hollywood, and the cyclical nature of history. From pre-war Vienna to Los Angeles, you’ll be transported from one fairy-tale city to the next, and discover the power of our stories.

You’ll also learn more about how UJA is responding to the ongoing needs in Israel, in New York, and around the world.

We ask that you please purchase and read the book in advance.

This event welcomes donors who give an annual gift of $1,000 or more, individually or as a family, to UJA-Federation.
