Allison R. Schneirov is Global Head of Skadden’s transactions practices. She is a trusted advisor to corporate and financial sponsor clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and other significant corporate matters. Allison has spent her entire career at Skadden, where she is a member of the Policy Committee, its top governing body, and has chaired the Partnership Selection Committee.

Recognized in numerous publications for her work, Allison has been repeatedly featured in IFLR1000, Chambers and The Deal, which named her a Top Woman in Dealmaking for M&A and selected her to its inaugural Women in M&A: The Powerhouse 20 list. Law360 honored her as a Private Equity MVP and Business Insider listed her among the 29 M&A lawyers “closing some of the biggest deals in the country.” Lawdragon has named Allison a “Legend” for being included in its 500 Leading Lawyers in America guide at least 10 times. Earlier in her career, The American Lawyer profiled her among its “45 under 45” outstanding women lawyers.

Allison is widely known for her mentorship and advocacy for inclusion in the legal profession. A member of UJA’s Board of Directors and Lawyers Executive Committee, Allison also is co-chair and founding member of UJA’s Women in Law and a former Chair of UJA’s Lawyers Division. In addition, she is a member of the Trustees’ Council of Penn Women of the University of Pennsylvania and a former Chair of the Board of Figure Skating in Harlem.

Allison lives in Manhattan with her husband, Steven Fisch, whom she met at the University of Pennsylvania. They are the proud parents of their two children, Samuel and Rebecca.
